World Champion Mine Detection Dog, "Rex" doing a demonstration near a live mine field near Beirut, Lebanon. He is demonstrating the "sit" behavior that a well-trained mine dog exhibits when he makes a "find."

  • It is SO very rare for a mine dog in a well-run K9 deminin program to be injured. And SO much safer for both humans and animals. They are remarkable. They lead with their noses, not their feet...they smell the explosives. and then safely exit the area while the human engineers determine the best way to remove the mine.

  • I have a question, how often does it happen that a dog is killed? In this video the dog touched the ground so isn't it possible that he wil explode?
