I think if you listen to him you will hear he is a strict constitutionalist and believes in individual liberty above all else. That's the beauty of the constitution and libertarian values. You do what you want and as long as it doesn't hurt me - go for it. This man has a very long history of consistency and walks like he talks. I don't think you have anything to fear from him like we do from Bush.

he wants to do away with all those programs, but not for a while as he has stated we have 2 generations based on living off the government.
That is his standard for Welfare/Social programs. Disabled programs may have a different standard. Most Libertarian/Constitutionaists(
like myself) believe in support of the disabled and mentally ill. It's the programs that group all minorities/social classes into a free food/clothing bill is where we take issue. -

I love Ron Paul.
What is his stance on social security? I am a disabled individual who collects a small amount of money each month and I am curious if he is talking about doing away with it?

He's talking about phasing it out, but it would not affect you he's talking about the very young getting an option to opt out. If you stop all the nation building and close most of the foreign bases that really have nothing to do with security. You would have plenty of money to meet the obligations of the people dependent on Social Security
