Excellent documentary. It must have been hard for her mother after sylvia's death. It's a shame that poetry isn't something which is studied as much these days. I first read The Bell Jar as a teenager and have read it multiple times. There's something about it that's easy to identify with, maybe it's the way she describes her (Esther's) thoughts and feelings. Her depiction of depression and conflict with self that occurs in your teens/early 20s is very accurate, at least as I've experienced it.
