This was the LAST phone contact with Binati Sigrah on Rabi Fiji as Cyclone Tomas starts to hit hard. Just had reports that at least 5 houses in Tabwewa had already being destroyed as we spoke to them on the phone.

16 March 2010 update:
Ken Sigrah will be heading to Fiji by the end of this week to make an Emergency Assessment of Rabi Fiji. As you may have heard from this last phone conversation all our children and grandchildren were sheltering in Ken's brother (Biniati Sigrah's) house and the situtation was very grim even before the full force of Cyclone Tomas hit later that evening. 20 MAR 10 - LATEST UPDATE: Official news received Banaban man reported killed on Rabi hit by falling tree. Ken is trying to make crossing from Taveuni to Rabi today.
