Filmed in Dallington, one of the moderately hit areas of the city. My house was right on the corner where the sewage/water pipes broke so we had a lot of issues on out property. All my family is fine and my heart goes out to everyone in chch who is struggling or has lost a loved one. Three days on there's no power and water where I live, and it's not likely to get back on for weeks, due to damage to the infrastructure. Please, if you want to help donate to the red cross in NZ.

  • I lived in Dallington during both earthquakes and I think it was one of the most severely hit areas.

  • @nzluna1 Yeah buddy , ! ;)

  • Wow that is one awesome job of covering your place and the surrounding area.

    Very nice job youtuber.

very real, very down to earth and very informative.

I'm glad it had enough to show what happened but that there was nothing like people bleeding on the streets etc.

    very brilliant footage and video.

I commend you youtuber on this video.

    beautiful informative doco you've made.

    - Courtesy.

  • Thanks for the video.. I am from the states and trying hard to get in contact with a friend on banks ave.. have you been there and is there damage outside of the road (as I see it is closed) his address is 34 banks avenue christchurch.. name is Paul Fahey

  • whoa! I was on the other side of the palms on marshland road, fairly similar, though with some big holes swallowing up cars and trucks.

You are very eloquent given the circumstances :)

  • thanks so much for doing this video. I am a kiwi living in the states and it's so hard to see what it's really like from the photos and videos on stuff etc..

But this is my neighbourhood- I grew up on New Brighton Road, so it put it all into perspective. It's so bad right now, but I know kiwis will push through. Thanks again!
