Marijuana has been said to lead to an early onset of psychosis in long-term users. Personally, I don't want to pay tax dollars for drug users to stay in jail or a medical facility because they have an addiction. And for those who wanna legalize marijuana, take a good long think about that.

You would need a special liscense to sell it(like alchohol). And there would be a cut-off point(again, like alchohol). The sales would be regulated, and there would be far more DUI accidents and arrests.

@dmoogle2006 I disagree about the DUI accidents and arrests, I've driven many a times stoned out of my gourd and it has never had the same effect as being drunk. It is very easy to drive, if you are a person like me, not saying everyone would be as safe behind the wheel. But these people you're talking about, they already smoke weed, and the arrests are already in the books. There would be no great mud slide of DUI arrests, because marijuana is everywhere already.

When one speaks truth to power, one might expect repercussions. But, I've noticed that "They" don't care about what we're strung out on, so much as who is making money from it. The War on Drugs is incredibly lucrative for Sheriff's Departments all across the USA, due to the Forfeiture Laws , which allow the Depts. to seize any assest connected with the drugs themselves, and KEEP THEM, WITHOUT A TRIAL, and in some cases, without charges being filed. Google up the history of forfeiture .

@jpriedie on cannibas. I started smoking and was able to quit for college no problem. I haven't had any adverse effects on my long term or short term memory. i am fully able to quit cannabis but am still unable to putt down my cigarettes. it is true cannabis is not for every one, it can cause some people to have panick attacks. So if cannabis is not for you then the sensible thing to do would be not to smoke it.
