The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama on Sunday said, We were taken aback by the turn of events in Jos. We thought it was political, but from all indications it is not so."

He expressed surprised at the way some churches and property were attacked and some worshippers and clergy killed.

@Josman318 During the the Nigeria-Biafra War the west and USSR supported Nigeria militarily. USA was neutral, which means because they are a British ally means they were supportive of Nigeria. Your read correctly, the WEST and USSR, during the height of Cold War were on the same side of a conflict. Why?
