It gives me great pleasure to hear from all you real people out there.
I can confirm that i am Black British, born 1966 and had this experience in 1985 when i was living in USA for 3 months before i became a professional photographer.
The photo's for this piece were taken on various visits to the US throughtthe 80's. The story was told and produced nearly 20 years later for Channel 4 in the UK also at SXSW Film and Music festival in Austin Texas and at the Sadlers Wells theatre in London.

this ad or commercial whatever it is, its dope!! i dont know what u guys are talking about it seems like his from New York and in new york back in the umm i think 80's early 90's they took shoes to the next level if u were paying attention it explains about foot fashion and this guy was abviously a B-boy for those that dont know it means a breakdancer and back then they used to cause fights over there shoes if u stepped on someones shoes damn ur ass would get fucked up!! foot cred!!
