Ìgbéyàwó - Traditional Ifá/Yoruba wedding, Bukky weds Mike

Highlights of the Ìgbéyàwó ( traditional Yoruba wedding) between Bukky (Chief Popoola daughter) & Mike, at the compound of Chief S. Popoola the Oluwo of Odewale. Ìgbéyàwó rites are more than the customary coming together of two families, but holds another level of ceremonial rites of unification with Ifá & Ọ̀runmìlà, the owner of the oral literature which conveys the ethics & conduct of a couple (contained within many of the sacred oral text called Odù-Ifá) at marriage and throughout every major juncture in their new life (read more about this in book: Ikunle Abiyamo - the ASE of Motherhood)
It was an event filled with energy and vitality, the masqueraders were Egbe Iyaloode & Orisa Ajaguna, the singers where from the resident temple Osa Lesun as were the stationary aran drummers/gong players, the mobile bembe drummers were from Abeokuta & Egbaland area of south west Nigeria.

@ObafemiO, yes I did but while editing footage I had to delete blocks of video to condense file size, it was among the elements deleted. Chief Popoola & group put on a fantastic event, it was memorable to say least. Thx for feedback....
