Sacred Morn a poem that talks about everyday blessings and ways to approach life.

Sacred Morn

Sunshine your the elixir of the steadfast,
whilst snow is the elixir of comfort,
No matter what is upon me,
I will call this a sacred morning,

When everything in is bloom,
and most things in tune,
When I can look at the sky and count the angels watching,
I needn't a day like this to be thankful,

For in plain days where we let our hearts rest,
where we sit and lull,
think of the beauty happening abound around us,

Somewhere a child reads his first book,
a middle-schooler writes a play,
a poet writes alone about the brilliance of this day,

Somewhere a flower sprouts,
a gypsy dances in a canopy,
a new child is born,,
all the beauty lives indeed,

Somewhere people are learning of democracy,
the age-old Greek tradition that rules over anarchy,
Somewhere people are discovering their rights,
their freedoms, their lease on life,

a new beginning, we've stripped away barriers,
and bore our hearts, became something out of a dream,
and now are speaking of that dream to someone,

In our land, we try to hide the pain of our own life,
and the deaths of those who brought us joy,
the rebels, the ghosts, for you we'll always mourn,

The way is shifting so all things will be blessed,
there's not a worry or a burden that doesn't go unchecked,
somedays I think about somewhere, and I'm filled within to know
the act of completeness through others,

in some ways we love everything God hands us.
