EvE Online - Grand Theft Carrier

I joined Net 7 with the idea to scam or TK them. While their fleet was away from the POS I stole a Thanatos and warped around safe spots. They quickly realized it was stolen and I admitted to it on ventrilo. I stole about two billion in assets with this heist.

So why didn't you drop fleet and jump out of the system with a cyno alt?

@landen99 I should of put that in the video because I get a lot of mails saying this is fake or that I lost the Thanny to them. The last part of the video ( 6:57 ) you can see I have already left fleet. I was on my scanner the whole time looking for probes. I was constantly in warp and making new safes. Shorty after the video ended, I just logged off at a safe. A couple days later, I logged on at an off hour and cyno'd out. I never sold the carrier or flew it in combat. It's a trophy.

@TenTr0n Why wait til the end of the video to drop fleet? Why not have an alt ready and waiting in an empty system nearby to cyno you out if that was part of your plan going in? Were you just taunting them? Also, was your point that it is hard to secure your ships from theft with current Eve and pos mechanics? Would be nice if you could setup a unique password to enter a ship. Password could be reset in station or after being repackaged. Harder to steal that way.

@landen99 In hind sight, I should of left fleet as soon as I stole it. I had forgotten I was in their fleet for about 5 minutes and then I left. The reason I didnt have an alt cyno pilot ready on the spot was because this was unplanned. I entered their system and asked where their pos was. I landed at their pos and saw a unpiloted Thanny siting right there. No one was in the POS and it was easy to board ship and fly off. I was surprized at how easy and fast it happened.
