On the edge of space, a mining ship, The Ezekiel, finds an uncharted planet that reveals signs of a possible fuel resource. Two crew members undertake a mission to the desolate rock to take samples for later analysis. The mission goes well until they unearth a dark and terrifying truth.

I've seen a full length movie with a similar plot twist, I just don't remember its name. It was rather B, but still watchable... (Both parties were alive though, but the "friends" and "enemies" weren't who you first assumed. Reversed roles thingie.)

You've discovered what many did before you when trying to explain science to the crowd... The internet trolls. They eat fundamentalism and defecate conspiratory theories. Resistance is futile, they can not be reasoned with. They will overrun us and stupidify the whole planet.

Nice one. Although all sci-fi films do suffer from underestimation of technological progress. "I wish you could see this, Mitch" sounds funny, given we almost have the Google glass, and we're yet to pay another visit to our natural satellite.

Also, chemical bipedal organisms exploring outer space and flying starships is a vastly popular, but unrealistic theme, imho. I would rather expect starships to fly themselves and be *the* alien civilization.
