  • The bill of rights only affirms an individual's natural rights. Natural rights cannot be repealed. Natural rights can only be violated.

  • You would be absolutely right if every nation on Earth ran as a republic - with the rule of law equally protecting the rights of all its citizens. I feel that was the intent of the Founding Fathers - to give the world an example to follow, by creating a country where everyone was born free. The modern day US runs more like a communist/fascist state than a free country - it gives the ILLUSION of freedom.

  • This should be damn near all you need to learn as a child.

  • Who is the stupid bitch that keeps whispering through the lecture? She needs to shut the fuck up.

  • @ The federal government should be trying to recruit new countries into the union rather then nation building.

  • @Kingery4President True, but it does not affect the excistence or ability to claim your rights in anyway. Even if all of the bill of rights is repealed, it doesn't in any way effect your ability to exercise your right to freedom of speech, carrying a weapon or anything of the sorts.

  • Specifically, such action might only happen through the actions of the People.

  • Any part of the Constitution can be repealed, or amended.

  • "The Bill of Rights cannot be repealed."

  • You are correct, everyone everywhere has those rights from God. However no one in any other country has ever stood up and took their God given rights - successfully.
