They are Gypsies for today's world. They are a myriad of cultures, old and new, picking up what they need and defying the taboos that bind them. They are modern and primitive, urban and tribal, medusa and machine. They are Ultra Gypsy.

  • Well-executed, but a little slow and boring. Style of dancing doesn't really match Upper Egypt. Just sayin'.

  • @karoll805 Group is Upper Egypt Ensemble. Song is "Ismaaouni"

  • lovely

  • @MissManiacTheMad

I actually took a workshop with Jill Parker back in September and she said that her style is definitely influenced by Middle Eastern bellydance and she fuses a lot of those classic moves into her dance style.

  • @MissManiacTheMad --i agree

  • Nice moves and outfits, but whats with the Hands? That's really more middle eastern to put them in ur Hair and look over ur shoulder with this 'come eat me' expression. A hint more pride and a hint less flirting would be nice, but I guess its all down to style.

  • oooh my, those are killing shimmies

  • I have this dvd, this work is amazing, I love ultra gypsy.

  • @karoll805 ISMAAOUNI BY THE UPPER EGYPT ENSEMBLE

  • It drives me nuts that they keep putting their hands in their hair, but otherwise this was a very cool choreography.
