AND...headshots don't count...you're advised not to aim for the head. And if you're wearing actual armour (chainmail, etc.), it takes 2 hits to drop you. It is quite possibly the most fun/surreal/trippy way to spend a sunday. I advise you to make a couple of swords, hit up the park and start up a melee!

hey, I´m from Venezuela, and I´m curious to know why they do this battles?Is for competition, for fun, are there any rules or is an all-out hack and slash brawl?

Why do they do this...FUN! Rules: If you get hit in the body, your dead...wait until next battle (roughly 5 minutes each). If you get hit in the leg, you cant use it anymore...but you can still fight while kneeling. If you get hit in the arm, you can't use that arm for the rest of the battle, and have to hold it behind your body. 2 hits to the leg and/or body, and you're toast.
