Vilambit Khayal - Raag Bairagi: Sanhita Nandi is an exponent of North Indian Vocal, Kirana Gharana: Khayal and Thumri genres. After initial riyaz and training, Sanhita was later groomed by Late Pandit A. Kanan, a disciple of Ustad Amir Khan in Kirana Gharana. She got an added exposure under Pandit Vinayak Torvi in Kirana and Gwalior traditions. This opened out the large canvas of vilamit to fast tempo tarana gayaki that has been developed over the last 150 years in India by various gharana masters.
