A time lapse video of a stained glass window being glazed at Beyer Studio in Philadelphia by Chris Thompson. The glazing took 12 hours, and then a few more hours for cementing and bars.

  • interesting panel where did you get the idea for it

  • The studio was commissioned to do a whole church and this was just one section of one window. Joe Beyer did the design.

  • at the end you added a cane rod or something X2...about 1/3 on each side..for added strength I gather...???

wonderful to watch by the way...

  • That would be two steel reinforcement bars. They keep the large panel from warping when installed. Each end has a very narrow tab that fits into the window frame on each end for support.

  • That is very time consuming. How long did this take?

  • It took 12 hours to glaze.
