When I was 20 and I decided I was going to have a Facelift when I needed one. So the joke with my husband was, I told him, okay. I say, I don't need diamonds. I don't need mink coats. I just want a maid and a Facelift when I need one. So, that was a big do. And it took a long time, because I'm 68 years old, and that's when I decided I needed one, when I all of a sudden, I looked in the mirror, and I didn't know who the hell I was. Excuse my language. I didn't know who I was. I looked tired. And I didn't feel tired, but I just always looked tired. So I figured, okay, now's the time for me to start the process.

I was looking for surgeon. There was someone I had gone to that I, you know, gave me an estimate and everything. And then I started looking up the credentials and everything, and they weren't right. I wanted a Board Certified doctor. So, I was looking for a Board Certified doctor, and I had a lot of friends that went to the doctors in town here, got very good references from them, too. And I just looked and spoke to a couple of them. And some of them, you know, just wanted to do everything! They wanted everything! I didn't want to look like I was in my 30s or 40s. I didn't think-- I wanted the expression still in my face. You know, I didn't want all this Botox and everything so that you can't move your eyebrows or anything like that. And so, I just wanted to look my age or somewhere thereabouts. Just refreshed. Not tired. Just kind of confident and happy and not angry.

I made an appointment with him, and you know, we had a talk. I told him what I was looking for, and he told me what he thought he could do and gave me a whole hour, you know. Just took his time. And then I didn't feel rushed. I didn't feel like I was being sold any hard sell or anything. He was just a-- you're giving someone your face. You better trust them and feel comfortable with them. That's how I felt. It was just very simple.

I think maybe the whole process was-- out of the operation was, I mean, maybe 2 hours. A little more than that. I think 4 hours I was here and home. And I had to do certain things like put Neosporin on the scars. And what I also liked about it, the scars did not extend into my scalp. They just came in the front here and just behind the ear. So, it wasn't that invasive, and it didn't hurt. And when I was done, there was no pain. I think I took the pain pills for maybe one night, and that was it. Absolutely no pain. And I healed rather quickly.

There is no scarring at all. Absolutely nothing. So, I'm very happy. And it's four months out, and I'm still happy! And I don't look tired anymore, you know, so it accomplished what I wanted.
