Laser Mast Break

SKIP TO 5:20 FOR MAST BREAK
Going for a quick burn on a laser radial,. I just happened to have a go pro water proof camera stuck to the bow.
The top section of the mast broke after a few minutes in varying force 4 to 6 winds.

wow that is lazy gybing, you have to sheet in lots and bear away at the same time in lasers, otherwise you will go for a swim! Surprised you didn;t here. Also, you are jumping around the boat too much, smooth movements!

if u stopped bouncing around all the time and let ur kicker of a bit more down wind you might not of broken it yet. ive been sailing for 7 years now first i a topper now in laser standard and ive never broken a mast. learn to sail jeez!!=!

@SuperWeeksey Im 6'3 and 14.5 stone. this was on a radial. it was windy as heck so i think it wasnt just my sailing technique

@SuperWeeksey Correct me if im wrong but dont you want the kicker tight in wavy weather so the boom isnt bouncing up and down creating luff pockets in the sail?
