Amtrak F40's Highballin Out of Memphis

In this video you will see Amtrak's City of New Orleans, number 58, head north out of Memphis, Tennessee. This video was taken shortly after my dad and I got off the train. That day we did a round trip from Memphis to New Orleans. Our train was running 2 & half hours late. My granddad, who is seen in this video, picked us up at the station and took us to Riverside Drive and the Beale Street Landing to catch the train leaving. The engineer does a great job blowing the horn and even gives us a peace sign and horn salute.

Extra Notes: Footage was taken in 1990. Engine numbers were 378 & 276. Consist: Baggage, 3 coaches, Dome-coach, lounge, dome-coach, coach, amfleet-lounge, sleeper, crew dorm, Mid-South private car.

Nice video! Amtrak at it's best! The first dome car, 9411, was sadly wrecked about four years after you shot this video while on the Lake Shore Limited. I'll send you a video response with footage from the derailment.
