@machetezone DMX did know a KATO he was a high ranked Latin Kings officer, they grew up in the same neighbor hood and he also helped direct some of DMX's music videos they BLAZED and DRANK togather mostly everyday and thats brotherly LOVE right there.

Kato rangel was a high ranked Latin king and he was mexican. this is why DMX says "two different cultures but had the same heart" meaning the Mexican and African American culture. At 1:24 you will also see a group of people holding up the Mexican flag. I'm not sure this is the same Kato Tupac mentions in his songs.
