You are amazing, thank you. It is very helpful for me to know what the Filters do already because I was going to provide it myself before I found you had already. I appreciate it! Keep up the good work!

Great tutorial. Can you exlplain how you created that shape? Was is starting with a spiral, converting it to a path and then adding the effect "Shape Along Path"?

@tutor4u wow!! really?? can you send my instructions how to create it please?

Thank you for the instructions, I just found these features recently...my only question for you is that when I save them I save them as a png, and when I upload them to the net, it all goes away....all those changes that I made....do you know how I can prevent that...?

You have a verry similar voice with the Lead Director of Diablo 3 .
It NOT that simple!!!! I tried it and it does nothing, or it goes blank or it changes to the darker shade of the color it was!!!
I am using version Inkscape 0.48+devel r10509
So what am I doing wrong????

@94sho
The problem might be that the target object was too large before you applied the filter. Try drawing a circle with a diameter of 100 pixels and then apply a filter. Hopefully this will help.

I created the shape using Inkscape.
