  • its really the attitude all the way across the board in this country...we all want suvs new homes etc...so...then we lose our job...and have a huge cut in income...but we still keep driving the expensive vehicles buying homes taking vacations like nothing ever happened..our government mirrors the people...so my advice...quit bitching about government so much and look at your own life

  • @DrMinParaguay I have no such doubt. Also, I agree there is a large faction of our government doing just that, especially on the leftist side of politics (though they also have ther RINO allies to help them). Bear in mind, though, that there are some within the government who do not favor such policies. We need more like them, and it's up to us to place them there. So long as we exercise it, WE are the true power behind our government. As I stated, there is much work to do.

  • @USSJ3 I continue to pray that the people start to understand that the people who make up our government now are not lacking in sense or intelligence but are in fact doing everything in their control to destroy freedom and liberty and replace it with the illusion of security and freebies in order to usher in a totalitarian regime. If you doubt how socialism ends look at London

  • The kind of change, in spending habits, that we need won't take place until the electorate replaces the Congress with people who have far more common sense than what we have now (minus the ones who actually DO try to reverse current spending policies). We have ALOT of work to do over multiple elections!!

  • louie, once again you continue to show , demonstrate and speak -up whether or not it's on fixing a football team, calling a right play or fixing a government and having a right policy, and in the words of the coach of coaches the great vince lombardi ."People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society.." louie, . please continue to "coach" us all

  • There's many great solutions to stop insanity like Flat Tax, or the plan everyone pays 1 % of inc. , etc & in 8 yrs cld balance budget - but GV won't do it bc they are power mongers. I don't believe many things GV doing that are destructive are Constitutional - such as the HC Bill.

  • IMHO It strongly seems vast majority in GV does not want to stop spending, they have no morals, no responsibility - this is not going to stop - EVER - there has to be an alternative - or else sit back & let GV take over. We've been doing a lot to stop recklessness - but my fear is at the rate GV is going, very soon it will be too late if Spend, Borrow, Regulations, Taxes, Sharia, etc not stopped NOW. The Rep party is supposed to be against wasteful spending & what'd they do, they voted 4 it.

  • How about you make Fox news pay their taxes, they actually made money from the government this year....Cutting PBS would reduce Americans choices for intelligent programing. I am for getting rid of planned parenthood. But this is a matter of Trillions not Billions. We need to cut Military funding, not defense spending but unlawful wars over sees must stop. Cut out oil subsidies, cap credit card interest rates so people can actually buy new products. Cut taxes on the poor. They spend the most.

  • Your right Louie they could put as much taxes as the wanted but if they dont stop spending its meaningless.

  • @XOtericate Google amconmag to read the article by Patrick.J.Buchanan.

George H.W. Bush agreed to break his pledge of “no new taxes,” and raised the top rate from Reagan’s 28 % to 35 %

Since 92, U.S has run a total of $7 trillion in trade deficits. 6 million manufacturing jobs disappeared in the last decade, along with 50,000 factories. This year’s trade deficit just returned to an annual rate of $600 billion.

We are now moving into the century of China.
