Played the demo and this 'heavy melee sync' isn't in it, so the demo must be quite an old build.

AND: Actually Dragon Age II wasn't THAT bad, seriously! I agree that the first game was clearly better, but compared to other rpgs, Bioware games generally stand on a high level and so does Dragon Age II.
