Dr. Strobel addresses the classic question of why God allows pain and suffering. For more information on this topic and hundreds of FREE high quality videos investigating the critical aspects of our faith, go to his website (http://www.leestrobel.com). I would also suggest reading one of the many books written on this topic by prominent Christian authors such as CS Lewis or Josh McDowell.

It's difficult to hate something you believe not to exist. But I do hate a lot of what it stands for e.g. keeping on topic, the justification for pain and suffering and by definition removing the need to do anything about it as it's the way god "has" to have it. A truly revolting morality based on imaginary beings. it doesn't get worse than that.

I showed this video to the children in the cancer ward. They all said "Oh, I get it!"

If God is real and I saw him when I died I'd kick him in the balls. Gog being god I'm sure he'll forgive me.

The youtube videos saying "pain is gift from god" have comments disabled for good reason. I could say a thing or two that would piss off anybody who believes in that absurd philosophy!

I already know my answer. I don't need any more education.

My question had more than those two answers, yes, but I was asking for you to choose between the two. I thought that much was obvious. If you don't want to participate, that's fine by me. I was just curious as to what you'd say.

Your question was malformed as it didn't allow for any other answer except a or b, when there exists a thousand other possibilities.

So, you want me to educate you regarding good & bad etc. in <500 chars. That ain't gonna happen. I suggest you try google. Here's some possible search words to help you out: anthropological linguistics, brain, insular cortex, social anthropology.

Once you have a good grasp of those, you may be able to arrive at a logical and reasoned answer all by yourself.

Just because you maybe didn't understand the question, it doesn't mean it didn't make sense. You could always just ask me to clarify.

And okay, let's assume God doesn't exist then. Where do the origins of good and evil come about? If we were created by some other means (ex. BBT), then how would we, as a race, know what's right and what's wrong?

That's a malformed and nonsensical question.

I'd rather live in a world where people don't justify pain and suffering with non-existent "special friends", where people don't just say "oh, it was gods plan so we can't do anything about it."

In no way is that a world where love, compassion and generosity can't exist. If anything, there would be more of it about if people stopped justifying & inflicting pain due to their delusional thoughts.

So, would you rather have pain and suffering and thus the ability to love, feel compassion, generosity, etc. Or would you rather be more like an automaton without an ability to choose, but there'd be no suffering in the world? (Not like you'd know what suffering is, though, if you were a robot).
