I personally like the look of interlocking verses palm rolling but if you start one way it is best not to switch to the other.

sorry im getting back so late. interlocking actually doesn't change the length in terms of lengthening or shortening your locs.

I am getting my dreads done in a couple of days but I heard that interlocking is a bad way to do it. Can you still have thick dreads with the interlock style? What I really want is thick dreads. My hair is dark brown with loose curls. Not kinky. I am caucasion so I didnt know whether it made a difference with caucasion type hair. What would you recommend with me having long loose curls? Thick dreads. About the width of a quater maybe wider.
