Halo 3 CE Scratched to Hell

I bought a copy of the Halo 3 Collector's Edition from work tonight, and what should I find when I open it?

The disc was loose inside the case and was scratched to hell. The spindle in the middle is made really cheaply and a lot of Collectors Editions are turing out the same way from other places I'm reading around the net.

It's hard to see the scratches in this video, but they're there and why my copy is going back to the store tomorrow for a standard edition.

I'd recommend only shelling out $60 for the standard edition or $130 for the Legendary if you're diehard enough since they'll each be using different packaging.

Really no excuse for M$ to ship something in such cheap ass packaging, especially a CE.

your a idiot i let my disk under my tv for a year took it odut it was coverd in good and the thing was in half and the scaches were like nukes bluw up next to the disk

i bought normal halo 3 it was beautiful without one scratch but my sister scratched it :´(

i had the same problem it still ran ok. But after 2 weeks of putting it on and taking it off of that crappy spindly thing. it broke my disc it literally tore a crack in my disc so my xbox kept rejecting it. but apparently that wasn't covered in the warranty so i went and got the normal one.

ya some movies have same probblem,i think depends where it was made mexico/canada/usa and i think china gets a contract to produce game discs but it happens so few times its hard to find the where the trend is where i live in b.c. canada i never herd of this probblem

this problem only applies to the people with the collectors edition, their case is different.
