This is typical of the Arndale at Cross Gates Leeds. The buildings were constructed on the cheap in the 60's, The drains from the roof are integral to the buildings, over the years through poor design of shop fits the silt traps at the bottom of the fall pipes have been covered. The silt traps are now blocked and inaccessible. Therefore heavy downpour = backup of water = flood. All down to tight landlords and shit centre management over the years.

Yeah, that was when it first started though. XD It got majorly worse. Appparently, Debenhams across the road had part of their roof fall-in. But no confirmation on that yet. :p
