FPS drops in OpenGL mode whenever someone turns on the flashlight or uses night vision. It goes down from a constant 100 to 10~20 fps (which especially sucks for playing zombie mods and the like).

UPDATE:
I just found about this guide that deals with the problem:
http://gokukiller.wordpress.com/2010/06/07/cs16-x3100-lowfps-fix/

Follow the steps in there and switch video renderer to D3D, it REALLY helps.

  • @ramweno didnt helped for me :(

  • I used to have the same problem even though my computer is pretty powerful and recent. The problem has gone away since I switched to D3D instead of OpenGL. Thank you for posting the solution.
