  • Your English is AMAZING! How long have you been learning English? May I recommend a video of you describing a household item that we can all see on Camera in nothing but Dutch with Dutch subtitles? That would be awesome. Your videos are great! I totally SUB'd

  • @goJonnySwift since I was 12, and maybe I'll do a video in just Dutch, yeah :) I'll think about it!

  • something really confusing me about " W " de Week sounds like de Veek ,, is it always like that "W" sounds like "V"

  • @fku89 hey, the w does always sound like it sounds in week, but it's not the same as a v! I made a video about the pronunciation of the W. It's on my channel in the playlist "Dutch Pronunciation" :)

  • Ik spreek perfect nederlands , ik ben namelijks Vlaams. Maar ik vind het toch zeer amusant om ze te bekijken. Je legt alles zeer goed uit , zelfs je Engelse uitspraak is zeer mooi. Ik heb al veel Nederlandse mensen gehoord die Engels praten , en dat klonk nogal vreemd...

Goed werk , houden zo !

  • @Guitars0nMushrooms Bedankt!

  • @fIugasche That.. is not true. "Middag", like afternoon, refers to the time between lunch and dinner (or noon-6pm), not lunch time.

make a video on how to pronounce the G in Nederlands. Some pronounce it as K with an H sound at the end and some just make it sound like its rolling a G. I'm not sure and I'm afraid I'm doing it wrong.

  • I am trying to learn this for somebody. This is so DIFFICULT. But I love AVB,ORANJE football team..... and this Girl IS Awesome !!!!!!!

  • @REALNassshole there is a difference in "de" and "die". "I go to de videoclub" is like "the videoclub" in English. But when you say; "I go to die videoclub" it's like "that videoclub" in English.

  • @miezziej Ok, so basically, it's like the pronunciation of the "the" in english. I mean, there's no difference wether you say "I go to de videoclub" or "I go to die videoclub". Unless there's some rule about the germanic root of "the" (die/der)? Mmm?

  • @REALNassshole "zij" and "ze" basically have the same meaning. I prefer "zij" because it sounds more.. Proper or something, but that's just my weird mind I guess.. :P

I don't really know why we have two words which basically mean the same thing..

  • @eowen515 Thank you for the reply, but not it didn't help haha. I know what they mean, I'm just wondering why sometimes it's written Zij and other times Ze. "Zij is mijn vrouw" or "Ze is mijn vrouw"
