The Trench Experience at Bisley

The object of The Trench Experience is to further the education of the public in relation to the sacrifice of soldiers in the Great War 1914-1918 and to show what civilians experienced on the 'Home Front'.

The last few seconds of the video show a small area of bare,open,isolated land that The Trench Experience have been trying to acquire from the Mod since January 2005.... The comment about the background noise,

" The gunfire's good isn't it?" refers to sound of rifle shots from the nearby Pirbright (Army) and Bisley (National shooting centre) ranges....close your eyes and you'd think you were on the Somme 1916.

My father and grandfather fought in WW2, both my grandfathers fought in WW1, they had no choice. Thanks to them and millions like them we now have a choice. I thank them all for giving me and my son that choice.
