@CsLillith Its a popular and kind of way to apply make-up on the lip, or sometimes on the chin below the bottom lip. Usually seen with American tribal style and tribal fusion belly dancers. It doesn't really "symbolize" anything specific (at least I dont believe) It just has a very tribal edge to it. :)

@CsLillith Ive done it many different colors the silver was just what I was feeling at the time. It is inspired from 2 things...Rachel Brice and the Indigo dance company use to do it all the time as a sign of their tribe almost. The other thing is in make up if you put a small highlight in he middle of your bottom lip it makes it look larger, this is a huge exaggeration of that concept. :)
