In Japanese, it's written as Furīza. The official English spelling is Frieza, but most DBZ purists spell it Freeza. Of course, it's meant to be a pun on "freezer" (Furīza is how freezer is pronounced in Japan), just as his brother is called Coola (Kūra in Japan, obviously a pun on "cooler").
