@Potrimpo If there's one thing "Superman Returns", "Terminator 4", and "Legend" have taught me, it's that any movie with a text scroll at the beginning of the film is, literally, doomed from the start.

Great editing job! I agree, the supernova opening in "Superman Returns" is better than the original Superman movie....this editing touch just improves on that theatrical touch, but hearkens back to that original. Nicely done!

This is better than the original. A super nova destruction is more authentic than what we have see in the origilal movie.

Excellent! This is what Singer proposed to do and is mentioned in the complete shooting script. He wanted it to open like the first film with the theatre curtains and then dissolve into the footage of Brando and York in black and white with Kal-el's blankets being the only items in color. I don't know if this was filmed or not.

Funny thing is, just reading the prologue about Superman disappearing because scientists found the remains of Krypton, it makes me think what some people were smoking when they say that isn't a good enough reason for Superman to leave, or gripe how selfish he was over that. To me this only confirms that they do not know a god damned thing about Superman. Even on a basic level.
