The Government is pleading for patience over the two billion shillings maize scandal report insisting that action would eventually be taken against those implicated. Despite the report by audit firm Price Water House Coopers clearly implicating scores of senior officials in the scam, Prime Minister Raila Odinga said the government would not be pushed to act just because the media was baying for the blood of certain officials. Instead, Raila announced the formation of yet another technical team, whose membership he did not disclose, to study the audit report and make recommendations.
