Half-Life 2: Portal with HL2 Sounds/Dialogue/Music

If you have HL2 and Portal, you too can play this. Just do these 3 steps:

1. Go to http://www.primotechnology.com/2007/10/17/half-life-2-portal/ and follow their instructions.
2. Use GCFScape to extract the scripts folder in the hl2 folder within 'source engine.gcf' to your 'SteamApps/"ScreenName"/portal/portal' folder.
3. The HL2 sounds are there, but the PortalGun sounds are missing. Download http://rapidshare.com/files/64200794/game_sounds_weapons.txt, and replace the original file in your 'portal/portal/scripts' folder to correct the problem. Also, I found that the updated game_sounds_weapons text file also got rid of that annoying light anomally in the Primotech video.

Bugs:

1. The handgun and SMG shooting sounds seem to be missing and don't seem to do damage (except when you fire the weapons).
2. The strider's walking sound seems to be missing.
3. If you begin the game with impulse 101 (the cheat that gives you all weapons plus the HEV suit), in the map d1_trainstation_01 (Point Insertion), you are unable to progress beyond the point where Barney accesses your HEV suit in Kleiner's lab. I suggest you play through the first few maps without all the weapons, and wait till you get the HEV suit at Kleiner's lab, and then do impulse 101. Or just load the d1_trainstation_05 map in the first place.
4. I am unable to select the Combine Overwatch Pulse-Rifle as my weapon (it appears under the SMG in weapon slot 3, but when I try to select it the shotgun appears).
5. I discovered that the dune buggy, which is supposed to be at the start of Chapter 7 (the one your supposed to be lowered down in with the big electro-magnet crane) isn't there for some reason - kinda odd, but you caan continue through the coast levels on foot.

But , theres something else ...

if i go to : Portal/portal/scripts/ EVERY TEXT FILE IS EMPTY (Exept game_sounds_weapons that i downloaded) PLS REPLY TO THIS COMMENT

@IPRANKTheFool Try this: uninstall both games, then go into the actual steamapps folder and delete any residual folders related to the games. Finally, re-download them and once more follow the steps outlined in the video description.

@robertghouston robert ive need big help when i try to fix the hl2 map sound by extracting the script and stuff when i start the game it says it has a gam_sound_manifaest file problem so i delete thoughs files then the game has an engine error is there any way to fix this

instead of typing impulse 101 you can type give weapon_portalgun ;3

Add to the list: When you're getting charged by that alien guy from the underground railroad lookout station, the game freezes. At least, it does for me. :/
