"Originally, during the planning stages, P.N.03 was a wargame known simply as Robot war game. Five days after starting development, graphics were put on-screen and Shinji Mikami felt nothing from how the game was turning out. He then decided to change the direction of the game to its current form.[3] Later during development, Mikami felt that the game's name should be Jaguar to reflect Vanessa's cat-like agility. However, other staff members didn't like the name; some claimed that it didn't describe the game well enough and others thought that White Jaguar would be a better title. Mikami then forced himself to come up with the name Product Number 03, which he shortened to P.N.03 to give it a more mysterious feel. Even after the name was changed, a staff member made Vanessa's crouch pose on her hands and knees to resemble a jaguar, saying that the game would always be Jaguar to him.

An early teaser trailer released for P.N.03 showed a gun that Vanessa was able to materialize out of thin air, an aspect later dropped for her trademark "palm shot" due to complaints from fans that guns were "boring"." - wikipedia

  • they should have left the back against the wall and peeking around the wall in.

  • I am so glad they dropped the gun idea. great game, by the way. I still play it

  • @RR6EW Well i enjoyed it :)

  • @juelzxX worst game

  • Good god she has a tighter ass in this version.

  • Cancelled? By Nintendo? What are you talking about. I got the game right here and its from Capcom.

  • I played a demo from this game and it was strange...

  • I'm kinda perplexed. Make no mistake, I LIKED P.N.03, and I know the decision to take out the gun (and I'd add that the game looked all the better for it, I mean, Vanessa became the real focus here and that's the point of the game, right?) but it strikes me as odd that they decided to take out some of those mobile moves and attacks. See that? She's firing while jumping and evading there.

Would've elevated the game from cult status to a universally really good game, I think.

  • Dang, I was under the impression that it was referring to Vanessa schneider being a clone.
