Muramasa - 01 - Momohime Act 1 ; Part 3 (Traveling)

Over the weekend, I was at Toys R Us for the Nintendo Pokemon Arceus event. Plenty of interesting games on the shelves, of course, but feeling a budgetary pinch this week I opted to buy only one Wii game, Muramasa.

Maybe I should call this a "Let's Play" since I'm honestly figuring the game out in the video? I dunno.

On this video, I cross what I believe is the overworld, really getting used to the controls now. Rewatching this video, it looks like spamming attacks at the beginning of battle is a reasonable strategy. Many times I thought I got hit, I simply blocked because I was attacking so much. Must... find... everything...

This does look like it has some elements in common with Odin Sphere like the way she moves with the double jump and the fact that she can glide along when she's in the air. Also the collecting of weapon power from the spirits of fallen enemies.

Intriguing. I'll note the name of Odin Sphere, then, and if I really enjoy this game I'll pick up that one. :)

Same developer, Vanillaware, so yeah, the similarities are very palpable indeed. (: Though IMHO, Muramasa is a MUCH better game than Odin Sphere.
