The chance of winter weather didn't dampen the spirits of the thousands of holiday revelers who attended the Downtown Springfield Christmas Parade. Christmas came to town on part of Historic Route 66, with this year's "Cruisin' Christmas" themed parade.
More than 70 entries braved the weather, competing for Grand Champion, Best Costumes, Most Accurate Representation of Theme and Most Original float. And of course, top honors were sought by high school marching bands and drum and bugle corps. Viewers came out with family and friends to celebrate Christmas.
Video is of Central High School Kilties marching on Park Central Square. Winner in Class 5A- Drum and Bugle Corps.
