Plain and simple video. I like that. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I have a question, though. How does upgrading the memory affect the dedicated video memory? I mean, it doesn't just suddenly become 512MB in the Mac's system info, does it?

@12Nibbles12 Not sure on the 2010 versions.

Does the same apply for the 2010 nvidia 320m MacBooks? Will my video ram go up as well? (I think it has 256 atm) please reply!

@TechDripper Thanks, i have a 4gb mac but it only has 256mb what would 8gb upgrade the VRAM to?
By the way thanks for getting back so fast to my previous question

@TheWindycity92 I used the one I got from Amazon in the description.
Not sure the size otherwise, I just know its a normal Philips head (small)

I heard somewhere that the 2011 13 inch MBP (the one on this video) should be upgraded with 1333Mhz type RAM. Is this the type you used for the one in this video? I read that 1333Mhz might make the computer overheat more, but I think that was probably for the previous MBP models. Can you confirm this for me, please?

@Marksman230591 Be default that is the speed of memory in them currently anyhow.

But i thought video ram can only be modified by getting a better graphics card?
brothertwinz 3 months ago
@brothertwinz It already uses on-board ram for its memory. Increasing the on-board ram does increase the video. Video cards with "dedicated" ram need replaced to increase.
