A major hit for the Andrews Sisters and a World War II tune, the song "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" is a wartime radio song about a virtuoso trumpet player. The Andrews Sisters introduced the song in the 1941 Abbott and Costello film "Buck Privates", which was in production when they made the record. "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. The song is ranked #6 on Songs of the Century.

  • Ooh, I remember watching this for the first time (first time watching andrews sisters) and I just instantly fell in love with them. I couldn't stop listening to their music. And you could really tell that that the three of them really loved each other.
