These are two Partridge Rock pullet chicks whose mother hen has decided she'd rather run with the crowd than teach her kids how to get along with the crowd. Miss Martha seems to have a sniffle so I've brought them in to the house for easier treatment. Believe it or not, it's less stressful for them inside with the cats and dogs than in the coop with big chickens frightening them all day. Although half feathered, they are hardy enough to not require a brooder lamp. Both girls enjoy riding on my shoulders. (But are only allowed to do so when I'm wearing my nasty work sweater!)
