  • I've been an Electrician for over 39 years, starting with my electrical apprenticeship in 1970. For anyone interested it's a great field and something that's going to be here no matter what. We see a lot of College emphasis for careers, but that's not for everyone and it's been a great path for myself and my family. I wouldn't change a thing about my choice so many years ago.

  • wow its really nice to know how to become an electrician...32 years ago lol. to say times have changed is an understatement. i had to compete for one of 16 seats out of 80 applicants by taking an entrance exam and interview. that got me into first year which i had to get 70% or better before starting work as a pre-apprentice. but i made it!

  • how much can u earn as a london electrican roughly with a company after tax

  • @Tainowarrior203; Tain' most apprenticeships are four to five years in length. Like most things though you get out what you put in. Pay attention, do your assignments and you'll learn enough to get you started. After 40 years in the Profession I'm still taking classes and keeping up to date on what's new.

As far as I've determined nothing is recession-proof, but one things for sure you can't be replaced by a machine and if they can't ship your job overseas. Good luck, Dan Magyar
