Homeowner Laura Chapek thought she had an agreement with previous owners, but new ones say Nicholas's set must go. Nicholas had Asperger's syndrome and autism and she claims the activity helps him. Also her cerebral palsy prevents her from driving Nicholas to N. Ridgeville community parks

  • Too late for this Board, but future Board's facing a similar situation can meet the needs of their young members.

I believe the association can make an accommodation for the child under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Board could approve a special exemption based on his disability. May need a doctor to write a letter that it is medically necessary, but I believe the Board and community would be well served to make an accommodation.

  • Let the kid have his play set!
