To try and smell what your tobacco smells like try inhaling a little bit and exhaling the smoke out your nose or simply put your nose to the pipe or maybe you could exhale into a balloon.

some tips, dont pack your pipe too tight, if its too tight the draw is too heavy, take a "test"drw before you lit the pipe, if you packed the pipe too tight you van remove your tobacco and repack it. as i am a dutchmen i like the full favour better the the original, and sail green is one of my daily tobaccos along with troost slices.

Metalishkitten: thanks for your comments and helpful tips. I just recently tried the full Amphora Full Aroma and it was great. I'm glad I have these three tobacco's available in my home town to give me a satisfying smoke between trips to the nearest tobacconist which is 150 km away. I think I am going to explore more burley blend tobaccos.
