  • It's not just him. We are becoming slaves. ONE TRILLION dollars of debt in student loans all because the colleges got smart and hiked prices for profit and now we're all paying the price...one more thing to add to the coming collapse.

  • shud hav tried gov loan and fuk nyu

  • does anyone else hear the laughing in the background 2:47 right after he hopelessly said "do have a degree..."

  • This dude is a retard.

  • YOU DO HAVE A DAGREE? THAT'S WHAT YOU PAY FOR LOL..

  • College debt = It's not almost an American nightmare, it is an American nightmare.

  • @waverly2468

Waverly you can borrow to go to college just don't borrow too much. Employment salary at graduation should equal your debt load. A nursing school graduate could handle 50k in debt while an art major should go into debt no more than 15,000 since in all likelihood they will be underemployed in the field of retail.

20,000 debt for a ba in engineering from a top college is worth it. This guy is a moron. 276k? Maybe for medical school but not a BA.

  • It is the responsibility of high school teachers and counselors to tell their kids DON'T borrow money to go to college. If you can't afford full time college, then take one class at a time if that's all you can afford. Or what's wrong with stocking shelves at Wal-Mart? Thats a lot better than caving in to peer pressure to go to college and getting into this kind of toxic debt.

  • The average annual cost of college is $26,000 a year. Are they kidding me? If government wasn't backing up all these student loans as well as passing laws that don't let the student discharge their student loan debt in bankruptcy, then college education costs would be much lower. This highlights a big problem in the US without presenting the cause of the problem. Two thumbs down for cnn.
