CVSE on the Road: Safety Blitz in Delta

Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement (CVSE) takes to the road for a safety blitz in Delta, B.C. From April 19 to 21, they focused on making sure commercial trucks are maintained and operated safely. As part of their thorough inspections, CVSE staff check truck tires, brakes, lights, windshields and steering components. They also make sure loads are secure and driver documents are in order.

How much of a role does education play in compliance? Is it part of an inspector's job to educate?

@ripplesouth Thanks for the comment. To answer your questions: Definitely. It is all part of the inspection process and the right of the individual to know what they are being inspected for. With this process comes the education around preventative maintenance, scheduled and mandated inspections, legislative requirements and CVSA.
