  • Thx for the review! However since it covers the edge where the Apple Smart Cover is attaching to the iPad, will it make the Smart Cover hold on weaker than bare?

  • @vedye - i could only guess as it adds a bit of distance or separation between the smartcover and the ipad itself. however, if it does make it weaker, i wouldnt be able to quantify how much weaker. i can say this, i'm still able to hold the smartcover only and the ipad will "swing" and remains attached. only once has it separated unintentionally (luckily, it fell onto the couch).

  • @vedye - (continued) i will also say this. the only that i dont like about having the skin and using the smartcover is that the tackiness of the skin doesnt always allow the smartcover to align perfectly, minor issue though. the skin doesnt allow for the metal to metal slickness. so once the magnets attach from the ipad to the smartcover, thats where they will stay. but like i said, its only millimeters and it can be readjusted by a small nudge. it wont ever misalign more than that.

  • Smart cover leaves a nasty film on the front though.

  • @rallisonreptiles - I thought it was just mine because of it being leather. But you're absolutely right, it leaves lines that correspond with the creases. Almost like there is some sort of oil/chemical in the microfiber lining side. Looks like 3 stripes on my screen.

  • @rfr79 - thanks for the nice comments. But honestly, all I use is the skin form the back and Smartcover for the front.

  • Hi! Yeah so I was wondering if I am able to buy the back cover of the iPad 2? I just dropped my iPad and there is some damage on the back. And my iPad is new so I don't really want it to be so damaged so early =( So can I get a back-cover cheap without having to make apple do it for me? Oh and this skin looks really good and seems to be cheap and protective.. how much does it cost and where can I get one? =D And is this you're supposed to change often? Sorry for all the questions and my bad eng.

  • I used BSE for my iPhone ever since the inception of BSE and Apple products and used them on every generation of iPhone as they came along. About every 6 months I have to replace the BSE due to yellowing from use as it soaks up contamination of the oils in my hand. I have not experienced this with the Invisible shield from Zag so the initial expense you do not spend on the BSE catch up as you continue to replace it over and over. OTHERWISE, it fits great and sticks nicely most of the time.

  • cool.

  • try using a matte antiglare screen protector that is smudge free it wont leave stains or the smart cover grease lines or whatever

  • @frogsiphone Thanks very much for the very detailed info man! Cheers!
