We miss you Estonia.

Judging by the comments another tragedy that shouldn't have happened - unsuitable ship, inexperienced crew - wtf is wrong with the world RIP.

HEY the radioman on M/S estonia was a friend of my family, he died on that ship! but still, just 3 years of independence and ESTLINE used the ship only for a year so good point

Unfortunately nobody either exploded or deliberately sank her. I worked on Viking Sally as a student for two summers in the 80s. She was an archipelago ship right from her birth -built only to operate within the cover of islands and on the short distance route between Turku- Stockholm. There is always fast land within a couple of hundred meters.

She wasn't at all built for open seas between Tallinn and Stockholm and the storm was just too much for her.

Паром утонул там, где не было островов, в пределах дальней видимости. В открытом море. Я знаю это море. Острова начинаются ближе к Стокгольму. Волны не могли кинуть этот паром на остров и повредить.

Причину потопления, надо искать внутри самого парома.

Jag förstä till idag inte hur Sweden och Estonia sig inte interessera för henne död folk vilket till idag där är i den ESTONIA ligga.För mig obegriplig.
