  • The more the "West" isolates "Myanmar" (= Burma), the more it becomes "Miandian", a chinese protectorate. China (that includes Singapore & Hongkong) wants to become a global superpower. They are buliding a gas pipeline and naval faclities in Burma (string of pearls) The use their veto power in UNSC and they supply most of the weapons to the military junta. A Nobel peace price for ASSK and T-shirts by U2 are purely symbolic gestures. Guns and Money stil rule the word.

  • I do have a suggestion how the rest of the world can put some pressure on the regime:

    The burmese generals and their business cronies (like Tayza) do have bank accounts in Singapore (probably also in Hongkong and perhaps even Dubai). Well money does talk!

    So... your idea of bringing freedom is by forcibly taking other's material wealth (regardless of how it had been attained) based on concensual standards?

    I believe that the kind of action you want to happen is one of fascism; it brings no more answers than whats happening already
